Who Am I?
My name is Robert Surrency, and I love to design stuff. I have worked on projects from personal and small startup companies to large corporations. Throughout the projects, I have played an important role as a visual conceptualist and strategist. My main objective for any project is to help solve a client’s problem with a simple usable and creative solution.
Ever since middle school, I developed a love for design and technology. I found myself working on personal websites tinkering around with different visual styles and types of technology. Not until Drexel University did I notice the impact people and technology have over one another. This inspired me to learn more about human and computer interaction and to dive in headfirst. It was here at Drexel that I did my co-op at and later came to work for Electronic Ink as an interaction designer. Currently, I am an independent contractor at Comcast Interactive Media as an user experience designer creating and documenting new interaction models and user experiences for Fancast.com.
Outside of design and technology, I grew up in New Jersey and have lived in Philadelphia for the past five years. This city is great, and I could not have chosen a better place to live, work, and play. Music is a huge passion of mine playing a big role in my life and is an important influence to my work. I am out-going, very active and open minded. Ultimately, I am anxious to see what the future holds.
